Welcome to the First Congressional District!
The 1st Congressional District of Minnesota extends across the southern border from South Dakota on the west to Wisconsin on the east.
The First Congressional District DFL has provisionally endorsed Jake Johnson for Congress.
*A provisional endorsement requires endorsement by a 90 percent vote at a meeting properly called with notice of intent to provisionally endorse. The provisional endorsement will expire at the end of the day on December 31, 2025. The provisional endorsement may be terminated by a majority vote or if already conferred will automatically terminate, when another DFL candidate submits a written to the unit chair or to the state party chair stating they are running for DFL endorsement.
We believe that every American and Minnesotan, regardless of their immutable traits has a right to stable employment with fair wages, to a proper education, to raise and provide for a family, to accessible and affordable healthcare, to live in safe communities, and to retire with dignity and security.
In the course of our Party’s history, much has been accomplished and we at the DFL Party will continue working for a better Minnesota and nation into tomorrow and beyond.
